How it Works
If you are interested in volunteering with us, first please browse through our projects for detailed descriptions of the volunteer positions that we offer. You can also get more info on where these projects are located on our location page. Please also have a careful look at Minimum Volunteer Donation page on our website before you apply, and make sure you are comfortable with the cost.
Once you have found the project(s) of your interest, fill in our application form, and send us your CV either in English or in Spanish (note that some projects require their prospective volunteers to send their CV AND motivation letter in Spanish). We will get back to you within 2 working days after carefully reviewing your application.
Once your project has been confirmed, we will send you a travel information sheet and your Volunteer Contract, which you need to print out, sign, scan and send back to us via email in order to finalise the placement procedure. Please also send us your arrival details in Trujillo once you have purchased your plane tickets, so that we can arrange a pick-up service to bring you to the OCN Office upon arrival.
We also arrange accommodation for our volunteers. If you would like OCN to organise your accommodation, let us know your preferred option after reviewing the various options on our Accommodation Options page. We will reserve the accommodation option of your preference, subject to availability, after you send us your signed volunteer contract.
